I would like to know about the career options open to a Maersk International Shipping Education (MISE) Trainee

career education training

Please help me get over this confusion.

I have been selected as a MISE Trainee, but I am not sure about accepting their offer. This training program calls for 2 years of on-the-job and theoretical learning, along with a lot of travel. After the 2 years of training follows another 2 years of expatriate assignment.

I need advice from people who are knowledgeable about the MISE trainee program. Can anyone please tell me the following: 1) compensation and benefits for the MISE trainee, 2) workplace environment and behavior of supervisors, 3) if they will allow me to enroll in an MBA program after I become a MISE graduate, 4) what kind of compensation can I expect then, and 5) would a MISE program make me less marketable if I decide to switch industries?

Thanks for your help.

What kind of education or training is needed to become a psychologist?

career education training

I’m only in Year 10 right now, but I really would like to become a psychologist in the future.
I don’t really know what is needed to become one though. What sort of GCSEs do you need to have good grades in? Thankfully, I’m an A*-B grade student in most subjects, I mostly gain A*’s and A’s.
Also, what kind of A level and university course will I need to do, and how long is it?

I just basically want to know the brief facts regarding education and training to help make my mind up about my future career choice.

Thank you so much if you can help =)
I live in the UK, so I need information relevent to me.

Is getting a career before “officially” going to college a bad idea?

career education training

Since the cost of college tuition is getting pretty damn ridiculous, and I did not want to end up paying off loans for the rest of my life, I decided that I wanted to go into a Nursing program at a local community college – so that I would have a manner of paying for school when I decided to begin my education on a large scale.

I found it somewhat disturbing when I discovered, then, that some institutions would not allow you to transfer and continue with your education if you had the equivalent of two years of college work under your belt.

The Nursing program that I am now enrolled in is exactly two years, and I’m wondering whether or not I will not be allowed to continue at a better university because of this. I know that I should probably be asking people at the schools that I’m interested in, but I wanted to inquire first whether or not there was a blanket policy regarding whether career training courses counted toward transfer credits that would not be “allowed” at universities.

Why do people always make generalizations?

career education training

The U.S. is a country of immigrants and certain cultures fostered a belief in education and working hard to give opportunity to their children to succeed further. In one generation many cultures succeed at climbing the Career/Money/Education train… yet others have been present for 100 years and can’t seem to get out of the rut they live in. Poverty, non-education, welfare, and constant blaming of others for their own failure to rise above.

What do you think about this?
It’s a fact.

Resources for single mothers?

career education training

My friend is a single mother in a small town in Kentucky that relies on her parents for a place to stay and utilities right now. She’s mentally abused and depressed, but her job is low income and doesn’t have a college education/career training.

What are resources for a woman and child to move out of a situation like that?
