I’m really into the mass transportation, specifically airlines. I am also interested in developing transportation of the future. I really like the maglev trains too that china and japan have, but I was just wondering if there is some kind of special education that i would get which would make me desirable in this field. I would like to organize routes of transportation or organize where the rails of the maglev trains would go.
Those are examples of what i would like to do in transportation, but is there a transportation major or any way to study it in college?

i’ve been working in an auto assembly work in the last job for over 5 years. The condition for me was so bad that now, i’m not in the best shape physically, to do any kind of heavy work.
I’d like to do something that i can do untill i retire…which is about 20 odd years to go.

I’ve been off work to take care of my body for the last 5 months now. I’m still not all that well, yet.

So, now i’m on UI, and will be going to career training. I hope to find something suitable for me to do now.

I hope that someone might be in similar situation or, have some advice or, some experiences that you can share, thanks again!

I am exploring a possible career change and think forensic accounting would be interesting. What additional education or training would I need? I am currently located in CT.

My goal has always been to be able to work with animals in some way. I have worked alot of jobs without much fulfillment and I know that the reason is because I really want to get into groooming animals. I live in southern illinois and I need a starting place because I don’t know where to begin as far as education or training. If anyone has any information that may help me start my career it would be greatly appreciated!

I am looking to change careers and become a pilot. I am currently a state employee with 771 credit. The problem is that all of the “continuing education” or “career training” loans have all but dried up these days. I want to attend a local FBO here in my city for my flight training. It will cost me about 30-40K (I’m estimating). Unfortunately, most any loans available for education loans require the “school” to have certain accreditations. I will be working with a local flight instructor, no “school”, which makes me unable to qualify for these loans. I have a co-signer if necessary. Does anyone know of any loans that I would qualify for? Places like Waucovia, Bank of America, etc., have canceled the previous types of loans that would cover this training. Where do I obtain this money for this purpose? I would need a loan of 15-20 years with the ability for deferrment. Has anyone gone through this or have any experience/information to offer me? Please help!!!
It is possible to attend an actual flight training school if necessary. However, I have done research and found that attending a school will cost me anywhere from 65-75K, a huge chunk of change to have to pay back with a 20K regional FO salary. Not only that, but I would have to pay moving costs to relocate there, would have to quit my job, have no medical, and be even further in debt at the end. It seems much more economical to keep my job with medical, attend a local FBO for much cheaper, and have less to pay back when I am done. I just don’t know how to accomplish it with the lack of funds available these days. Such a dilemma: Attend a school MUCH more expensive and spend crazy amounts more to qualify for funding… or keep a job, keep costs low, and have a lack of funding.(?)
Also, please don’t send me someone’s random yahoo or gmail email account that is a “reliable” lender. Whatever! Talk about scam. I just want real, honest advice from someone that has been there.

At 41, i find myself in a spot i never figured i’d be. For medical reasons i need to choose something non-physical, and with only tech school education,a school that requires only that.im leaning towards mechanics.But would like some input on best salary,and placement choices,also time is a factor {kids} Thank you God bless.

Just wondering if anyone working in HR has anything to say about whether they enjoy the job, if pay and prospects are good or bad, how easy to find posts etc. Am a recent grad, and deciding on a long term career. Have an interview for a HR assistant, they ask for a grad as they say they want sumone to put through the traning etc and from what i can gather from the info i have that they want sumone to train up to progress in the company as would obviously be aiming for management in the end, however long tht takes.
Also have an interview for a job as a trainee in Higher Education management so am currently unsure which i really want to do…… Would be interesting if anyone had any perspectives on HE management as well, whether they enjoy it, prospects, pay etc….. Hate decisions lol
lol thx for the answer… didnt mean hate power and responsibility decision making..i like to be in control lol, just that its taken me a while to weigh up options of what to do for a career and now that ive narrowed it down i dont wana much up the decision and just trying to collect opinions or points of view i might not hav considered.
