career education training

I am 15 and I’m currently doing a guidance project inwhich we are suppose to compile a scrapbook on three careers we’re interested in. I’m having a little problem finding information on journalism. I would like to know the nature, qualifications required, training/education, employment prospects, earnings and benifits. All of those have to do with what I want to find out about in journamlism. Kindly I’m asking if anyone have anytime just help me out and don’t be rude. love ya’ll choa.

i want to be a jounalist too, so i know this:
you can make from 20,000 to 100,000 dollars a year
have to be willing to move around when ur starting out
there are not really any qualifications but a masters or major in journalism or English it what you want to do
the hub for this job is L.A. and New York

I took journalism in high school and remember reading lots and lots about sunshine laws, etc. There’s a link from wiki to give you some info on that. I didn’t pursue it as a full-time career, so can’t be of much more help. Good luck with your project!

You may want to narrow down what area of journalism you’d want to do such as television/broadcasting, writer for a magazine or newspaper, documentary or photographic journalist etc.
Depending your career field each school will have specific courses that you will be required to take.
Once you narrow down the field of journalism you want to study, look at the schools that offer that major and you will be able to determine what kind of qualifications you will need.
