I have been feeling miserable in my current position for quite a while now. All the time, I get yelled at, made fun of, and made to feel second-class. Now, I want a new direction in life. The problem is that there are very few technical positions in my region, and moving away would mean that I would lose any emotional support I have left. It seems that whenever I come up with an business/entrepreneurial idea, it’s not practical (aka don’t have education, it’s technically not possible, etc etc). All I have is a basic biology bachelor’s degree, am 20 credits away from electrical engineering degree (can’t finish that because of required senior design course that wants me to make TONS of presentations IN A SUIT to impress departmental donors), and I’m exploring civil engineering now. I don’t have many skills beyond the degree, so what can I do for a career, given that I don’t like social situations?

How can I find out if a career in biology is right for me?
I am struggling with my current career in education and am interested in doing something more technical, hands on and removed from a lot of people. I loved biology as a child and did plan on becoming a doctor, but now, with a BA in psychology and an MA in early childhood and special education I find myself unfulfilled. I’ve been looking at a number of careers and they are all in the medical – healing area. I’d like to do something in biology (except teach) but I do not know if I can take another 2 years or more in school. The career tests I have taken do not really suggest anything remotely interesting. Can anyone give me a list of possible careers I can look into that are biology related (but NOT teaching or being a doctor or nurse)? Or maybe you are working in the field and enjoy what you do and can pass some info along? Thanks for your serious replies.
I’d like to hear from someone who is working in biology who can provide a brief description of what they do. Thanks for the list though

What is a good major for someone wanting to work using Japanese language in administrative/business capacity?
I currently work in as a work study administrative assistant in an International Education office at a technical college. I want to work in something close to this but with higher pay. I am passionate about the Japanese language and culture, and I am great at speaking in front of other people, office functions, writing grants, etc. What career options do I have, and what kind of major/degree do I need to pursue them?

Other than college and military, what are my options after high school?
I do not want to go to college because I can’t afford it, and my grades aren’t good enough for a 4 year university. I also DO NOT want to attend a technical school after high school.
I’m completely against joining the millitary.
What are my other options? I’m about to be a senior next year. Should I drop out, get a GED, and start looking for a job?
I really have no hobbies, or career interests.
What are some well-payed careers that require no college education?

Technical college curiosity?
Would going to a technical college which is regionally accredited, and offers associate’s degree when what I would like to do is have a career in computer-related fields, such as a computer networking person, things related to those fields? I do want to further my education by getting a bachelor’s degree, and maybe focus on master’s eventually, since the credits can be transferrable?I keep reading mixed reviews on how terrible a technical college is compared to community, or that it does not matter but what I choose?
